2022 Variety Children’s Charity Dinner
Muro recently had the opportunity to host our 2022 Variety – The Children’s Charity Dinner, and are once again proud sponsors of this amazing non-profit organisation.
At Muro, we’ve spent years consciously making a special effort to support Queenslanders from all walks of life. While we are proud sponsors of our local soccer club, visit schools to educate the next generation on all things finance, and give our time to government training initiatives, one major cause that we have long supported is Variety - The Children’s Charity.
The charity supports children and families who are facing many challenges through sickness, being disadvantaged, or are living with a disability. Their work allows children to gain mobility and freedom, to get out and about in the community, to communicate, achieve independence and increase self-esteem, and where possible, assistance to help them integrate into mainstream school and activities.
With the motto “all children deserve the same opportunities in life”, the annual fundraising dinner to support Variety -The Children’s Charity, provides the non-profit organisation with an opportunity to connect members of the community, while raising much needed funds as a means to continue their good work.
Held on Saturday 21 May at Brisbane’s Abruzzo Club, the 2022 Variety- The Children’s Charity Dinner was a roaring success, and through tickets, sponsorships and raffles, managed to fundraise a whopping $32, 000 in just one night. Aside from a delicious three course Italian dinner and entertainment provided by 1970s rock outfit “Waterloo”, guests also got the opportunity to network all in the name of a good cause.
As longtime supporters, the Muro team not only attended, but committed to another year of sponsorship for three Queensland children, Isabella, Sunny and Dominic. With every dollar raised going directly to Variety- The Childrens Charity, the team at Muro would like to take the opportunity to thank their fellow co-sponsors of the event, whose support is integral in helping the disadvantaged children of Brisbane reach their goals.

In just one year, Variety - The Children’s Charity impacted the lives of 85, 309 kids in need, and provided much needed help to vulnerable children and their families when government support wasn’t available.
First established in Sydney in 1975, Variety Australia has gone on to become one of the nation’s most recognisable charities thanks to its ability to help where others can’t. With a vision for all Aussie kids to attain their full potential regardless of ability or background, Variety- The Children’s Charity now hosts a wide range of annual events for out of the box fundraising, such as the bush style Variety Bash, Yamaha Variety Jet Trek, and the annual Variety – The Children’s Charity Dinner.
